Feist & Hayden tour comes to Canada, Hayden festival dates, and Haley Bonar as June guest

Hayden had a wonderful April touring the U.S. with Feist and her fabulous band and team. So much so, he's accepted her invitation to join her month-long Canadian tour beginning mid-October. All upcoming dates with band in hand starting with the U.S. June headline tour. See the Shows page for details.
Also coming up in July are a handful of festival concerts including Mariposa, Ottawa Blues Festival, Winnipeg Folk Festival, Dawson City, and Hillside. See the Shows page for details.
Brandon, Manitoba-born and Minneapolis-based Haley Bonar has been added as a special guest on Hayden's June U.S. tour.

Hayden returns to America with the release of In Field & Town this week

Combining elements of both rock and folk music, along with disturbingly personal sentiments, dark humor, and a voice able to channel both the falsetto highs of Neil Young and the wavering raspy low tones of Leonard Cohen, Toronto's Hayden Desser has spent the last 15 years creating uniquely affecting music.
Hayden, who is currently finishing up a four week US tour with, Feist, has recently announced his return to the US with dates beginning June 3 in Buffalo, moving across country throughout the month, towards Seattle and wrapping in Detroit June 29. These shows will mark the first time Hayden has toured with a full band in over 3 years and comes on the heels of his new album 'In Field & Town' via his new home at the legendary, Fat Possum Records.

U.S. tour announced

One more Feist show added

An additional show has been added to Hayden's upcoming run as special guest on Feist's current American tour. Hayden will open for Feist on May 1 in Buffalo, New York at the Centre for the Arts.

New Zealand and Australia dates added

Three dates have been added to Hayden's upcoming brief stint to Oceania. He will perform in Wellington and Auckland in New Zealand on March 27 and 28 respectively, and Brisbane, Australia on April 1.

American release on Fat Possum and tour with Feist; plus Australian dates

In Field and Town will be released in the United States on the highly regarded Fat Possum Records on April 29, 2008. Hayden will be touring through the U.S., beginning April 10 in Detroit, MI as special guest to fellow Canadian artist Feist.
Prior to the aforementioned performances in the states, Hayden will perform a handful of dates in Australia. Shows in Melbourne and Sydney are scheduled for the beginning of April.

Hayden on Vinyl Café

Hayden guests with Stuart McLean on the Vinyl Café starting this weekend. The show was recorded in front of a live studio audience earlier this month in Keswick, ON.
Catch the show on CBC Radio 2 on February 9 at 10am, CBC Radio 1 on February 10 at noon and February 12 at 11pm. American audiences should look here for additional broadcast info.
The show will also be available beginning this Saturday via the Vinyl Café podcast on iTunes and through the CBC website at cbc.ca/podcasting. The download will only be available for two weeks.

In Field & Town coming to Australia, Europe & U.S. and more sold out shows!

In Field & Town is scheduled for release in Australia on Spunk on February 9. Stay tuned for European and American release dates.
Thursday night's show in Sackville, NB with guest Shotgun Jimmie has sold out, as well as the second night in Vancouver, BC on February 12. A few tickets are still left for the first night in Vancouver on February 11. Jenn Grant will be Hayden's guest both nights in Vancouver.

Shows continue to sell out on the current Canadian tour including the last four nights in Peterborough, Keswick and Kitchener. Tonight's show and tomorrow night's show in London have both sold out, as well as the Calgary, AB date on February 16. Tickets are available for only five of the remaining dates on the current tour that will wrap in Toronto, ON on February 19.

In Field & Town was released in Canada both in stores and online through iTunes this week. Non-Canadians can look forward to domestic availability later this spring. However, if you're not willing to wait or don't want to pay extra cash for an import at your local record store, we recommend ordering the album through MapleMusic.
